Vinted doesn't charge sellers a selling fee — you keep 100% of the sale price. The number that actually matters is your profit after what you paid for the item and what postage costs you. Enter both to see it.

Vinted does not charge sellers a selling or payment fee — buyers pay the Buyer Protection fee instead, so the seller keeps the full item price. The fee fields default to 0; adjust them only if you're modelling a buy-to-resell flip on another platform. Last reviewed June 2026.
Do Vinted sellers pay fees?
No. Vinted makes its money from buyers, not sellers. When someone buys your item they pay a Buyer Protection fee on top of the price, and they cover postage. As a seller you receive the full item price you listed. That's a big part of why Vinted is so popular for clearing a wardrobe.
Because there's no seller fee, your profit is simply the sale price minus what the item cost you and any costs you absorb yourself. For a wardrobe clear-out where items were originally bought to wear, the 'cost' is effectively sunk and almost all of the sale is profit. For resellers who source specifically to flip, the cost price is the number that decides whether it was worth it.
Where Vinted profit actually leaks
Even with no platform fee, Vinted profit isn't always as clean as it looks. If you offer free or discounted postage, that comes out of your pocket. Bundle discounts, the occasional 'item not as described' refund, and the cost of items that never sell all eat into your real margin across a month.
The way to see the truth is to track every item: what you paid, what it sold for, and any cost you absorbed. This calculator does it for one item; ResellIQ does it automatically across your whole Vinted wardrobe and any other platforms you sell on.
Frequently asked
- How much does Vinted take from a sale?
- Nothing from the seller. Vinted charges the buyer a Buyer Protection fee and postage; the seller keeps 100% of the listed item price.
- So what's my profit on Vinted?
- Your sale price minus what you paid for the item and any costs you absorb yourself (such as offering free postage or a bundle discount). Enter those into the calculator to see profit, margin and ROI.
- I buy on Vinted and sell on eBay — can I work that out?
- Yes. Use the Vinted purchase price as the item cost in the eBay fee calculator, which then applies eBay's fees and shows your flip profit. ResellIQ tracks cross-platform flips like this automatically.
- Does Vinted charge sellers in the UK specifically?
- No. The no-seller-fee model applies in the UK and across Vinted's other markets. Buyers pay the protection fee instead.
